Washing knitted clothes

How to care for knitted fabrics made of other types of yarn? For the acrylic and wool blend, all of the above apply, and cotton and linen have more durable fibers and tolerate temperatures of 30-40 degrees. Look for information on the care indicated by the manufacturer on the label.
Can knitted clothes be ironed?
Sweaters and other knitted products, dried on a flat surface, in most cases do not require ironing. However, if there is a need to iron the product, iron from the inside through a gauze with a not very hot iron. Go around embossed patterns and elastic cuff tapes, as they can be irreparably damaged by ironing.
Selection of storage space and protection against moles
Knitted or machine-made clothes should be placed on shelves in the wardrobe. When hanging on hangers, knitted clothes stretch over shoulders and lose their shape. You can use a special hanger with wide rounded edges to hang from your wardrobe, for example, for knitted lined sweaters or thick knitted dresses.
Clothing containing natural fibres is food for clothing moths. In shops there is a large selection of agents for this pest: gel, paper pendants, scented sachets, pills, aerosols for spraying the inner surface of cabinets. Moths do not like the smell of lavender and tobacco and very rarely destroy clean things. Therefore, keep bags of dry lavender or tobacco in your wardrobe, never fold your knitted hats for summer storage without washing and do not hang things you already wore in your wardrobe! Follow these simple rules and your favourite things will look as good as new.
