How to care for linen products?
Linen is a magical fiber – it cools in the summer, wraps in the winter and maintains body temperature. But that’s not all… the list of its unique properties is endless. It is anti-allergic, natural and friendly to our skin. Due to its durability, linen products are chosen by customers who value the quality of natural knitwear. Linen is an ecologically sustainable and fully biodegradable fiber. Airy, antistatic and antibacterial… there are so many reasons to take care of it properly!
Preparation for washing
We recommend washing linen products separately (without other fabrics) and paying attention to their colors (we do not mix white with colors). Before putting linen products in the washing machine, it is worth turning them inside out and fastening the buttons.

Washing temperature
Linen products and linen clothes should be washed in cool or warm water – we recommend 30 max 40°C. Too high temperatures can cause linen products to shrink by up to 10%, so following temperature recommendations is extremely important.
Detergents
We only use mild detergents. Preferably without fragrances. Do not use strong detergents and bleaches, as they weaken the linen fibers and can discolor the knitwear. We do not recommend using fabric softeners, because they are designed for synthetic fibers, not natural ones. These liquids coat the fibers of the knitwear and reduce the absorption properties of the linen. They have a synthetic scent that kills the pleasant natural scent of linen.
Washing
Linen can be washed both by hand and in a washing machine on a delicate washing cycle or for washing wool. It is important to remember that linen knits should not be too compressed and that they can move freely in the washing machine drum.
When washing by hand, do not wring or squeeze clothes or other linen products, as this could cause deformation. Water should be squeezed out by squeezing the linen knitwear with your hands. With each wash, linen products become softer and softer.
After washing, linen clothing shrinks a lot, becomes thicker and stiffer. It can cut.

Drying
After removing from the washing machine, shake out linen products and spread them on a flat surface (floor, table) on a sheet or fabric while they are still slightly damp and straighten them with your hands. If linen clothing cuts, try to arrange the clothing in such a way that it does not cut.
If possible, it is worth drying linen products outdoors. During the drying process, the knitwear acquires a natural, fluffed texture. Linen does not like to be over-dried, because the fibers then become more brittle and susceptible to damage.

Tumble Drying
Raw linen products can be dried in tumble dryers, but with great caution, as this can cause the fabric to shrink. The drying program should be very short and gentle. It is best to remove the products from the dryer while they are still damp. Drying in a tumble dryer will make the fabric more delicate, slightly fluffed and exceptionally pleasant to the touch. However, it should be taken into account that this type of drying shortens the life of the linen fibers
